Much has shifted and changed in the in the Content Management software arena and the open source landscape in general in the last year.
So, it's time to address them again...!
Some things we'll be talking about in this public, free event are:
1. Who's the new, upcoming "kid on the block" in terms of CMS'?
2. What are market shares looking like for the traditional favorites, Joomla and Drupal?
3. What has changed, improved - or not - in the last year among the top CMS'?
4. What are the learning curves like? What CMS are most appropriate for what type of business?
5. And. most importantly, based on the new developments and information - how do you approach making a decision about which one YOUR business should use?
Chana Campos is a software architect, instructional designer and writer with over 15 years of IT experience. She has
acted as Lead Architect for Accenture and KLM on some of the largest
software projects in the world. She has trained developers all over the
world, including employees of Accenture, Price
Waterhouse, EDS, Freescale and ATOS on advanced technology issues. She
regularly speaks at conferences throughout the world on issues dealing
with open source software adoption and development. She currently
focuses her work on educating businesses to the advantages of open
source software for leveling the business "playing field". She teaches
open source technology content management systems, web programming and
architectural/development strategies through her business, AustinCMS,
located in Austin, Texas with offices in London and Amsterdam.
